GRID::DK

GRID::DK was a research project with the aim of providing researchers at Danish universities with uniform access to the so-called "free" or "sandbox" resources of their computer centers. The free resources amounted to ~10% of the total computing and storage resources at each center. Use of these resources can be applied for through DCSC.

GRID::DK was funded as a so-called Center for Advanced User Support by a grant to a consortium consisting of researchers from the Universities of Copenhagen and Ã…lborg University and the Technical University of Denmark. The principal investigator and grant holder was Brian Vinter from the University of Copenhagen.

The project entailed: 1) establishing a novel computing infrastructure, 2) building intuitive interfaces to use this infrastructure, 3) eventually - support and training.

The International Science Grid This week (ISGTW) had an article about grid.dk.
